The acropolis of Oga lies on a flat hilltop near the sea on the eastern side of the Methana peninsula. Due to surface finds it was probably the site of a settlement from the Early to the Late Helladic period (i.e. about 3000-1100 BC) and besides massive fortification walls there are a few Hellenistic remains. But although an inscription dedicated to Poseidon Fytalmios was found there have not been any excavations until now. Neither Pausanias nor any other ancient author mentions Oga.

From the acropolis of Oga there are wonderful views to the Saronic Gulf - the island of Aegina is a neighbor.
